When Generation X broke up in 1981, Billy Idol went solo and Tony James started Sigue Sigue Sputnik.
Generation X released three albums during their time together. At least three more have been released posthumously.
Idol was part of a group of rabid Sex Pistols fans who dubbed themselves the Bromley Contingent.
