Perpetually on-fire slide guitarist for whom Chicago's famed Alligator Records was formed. With his band the Houserockers, Hound Dog Taylor made some of the finest, crazed blues of the early '70s. Hound Dog was born Theodore Roosevelt Taylor in 1915, in Natchez Mississippi. He moved to Chicago when he was 27. With his two man backing band, Taylor played all over Chicago almost every night of the week until his death in 1975. Taylor's band the Houserockers is made up of Brewer Phillips on 2nd guitar and Ted harvey on drums. There is no bass player.
