Miami Sound Machine
Miami Sound Machine were formed, surprisingly enough, in Miami in 1975. Headed by singer Gloria Estefan (who later started a solo career), the band produced four Spanish albums before opening up to a much larger audience with 1984's "Eyes of Innocence". The record included the song MSM was always linked to from then on: "Dr. Beat". The foursome became even bigger with the second English recording "Primitive Love" with mega hit "Conga!". After a severe accident, the band released the comeback album "Mi Tierra" and received two Grammys.
