Sneaky Pete Kleinow
A connoisseur of fine wines and twangy tones, Sneaky Pete Kleinow was famous in musicians' circles for playing psychedelic pedal steel with Gram Parsons and the Flying Burrito Brothers. Some credit him for giving the band its innovative sound and being the first person to rip steel guitar licks and bended country notes through a fuzz box. After writing the theme song for the children's television show Gumby (no kidding), Kleinow released a couple of mediocre solo albums and did session work for folks like Frank Zappa and Evan Dando's Lemonheads.
